The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the subsequent criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house with a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined residence revenue would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens read more and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the right Id Doc numbers, names, and here surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or intend to study in a general public university or TVET college here in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
